Underburbs

Cookie Policy

Last updated: 27 April 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Underburbs uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage and session storage) on our website and dashboard. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. Similar technologies (such as local storage) allow websites to store small amounts of data in your browser. They are widely used to make websites work, keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and gather analytics.

2. Categories of Cookies We Use

Strictly necessary cookies

Required for the Service to function. They authenticate you, keep your session active, secure the Service against fraud, and remember your subscription state. These cannot be turned off through our interface. Examples include cookies set by our authentication provider Clerk (such as __session, __client_uat, __refresh) and payment-related cookies set by Stripe during checkout.

Functional cookies and local storage

Remember your preferences, such as the most recently selected property category, year range, and whether you have completed the onboarding tour (for example, underburbs_tour_done_v2 in local storage). They improve your experience but are not strictly necessary.

Analytics cookies

Help us understand aggregate usage of the Service so we can improve it. We use privacy-respecting analytics provided by our hosting provider (Vercel Analytics) which does not track you across websites and does not use cookies for advertising.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are set by third-party services that we rely on, including Clerk (authentication) and Stripe (payments). These third parties process the data they collect under their own privacy policies.

4. Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, accept, block, or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in or completing payment. To clear local storage you can use your browser's developer tools or site-data management screen.

5. Do Not Track

Our Service does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals because there is no industry standard for how to interpret them. We do not engage in cross-site behavioural advertising tracking.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the platform or email.
